My education is extremely important to me, and I am blessed to have such a supportive family. I learned how to read at Truckee Meadows Community College, (TMCC) in the Adult Basic Education Program after being diagnosed with learning disabilities. Through the expertise and devotion of several TMCC faculty and staff, I learned many techniques to compensate for the disabilities improving my experience tenfold while building self-confidence, and want to share these tools with others. Did you know a simple task of doodling with both hands before studying increase your retention of the material? Based on all the educational opportunities I have been presented, I like to give back and assist others. Proudly, I am a member of the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, The Golden Key and recently accepted into the Honors Program at the University of Nevada, Reno.
